Ruark Acoustics - Crusader III Speakers
The mighty Crusader is back: one of the iconic loudspeakers of the eighties has been revitalised with the very latest technology and build techniques. This new incarnation is a beautiful blend of elegance, power and finesse - both sonically and visually.
The Crusader III builds on the performance of the Sabre & Talisman speakers in terms of refinement and seperation. The highest quality ribbon tweeter, dome mid range and bass unit peel back a huge amount of detail that the 2 way units cannot produce. The quality of units used is rarely seen at this price point and results in a sweet, refined musical presentation. Good amplification is strongly suggested to get the very best out of the Crusader III. The Crusader is still suprisingly accomodating in its placement within a room and will still perfom well in smaller confinements unlike most other speakers of this calibre.
The Crusader III is both traditional and contempory in its design with classic clean lines and a craftsman build quality associated with all Ruark Acoustics Speakers.

System Type: Bass Reflex 3 Way Floorstanding Monitor. Critically damped 18 & 25mm MDF construction with internal non-symmetric brace system. Mass loading facility.
Drive Units: Tweeter: 8.5 x 60mm low mass aluminium ribbon driven by advanced neodymium motor system mounted on machined alloy faceplate.
Mid-Range: 75mm treated and damped fabric dome mounted on 75mm aluminium former and coil with internal vented magnet system.
Bass: 180mm treated profiled carbon/pulped fibre cone with high loss low reflection rubber surround mounted into a rigid die-cast alloy chassis. High flux magnet system. Lightweight voice coil assembly. High power handling capability.
