Primare Systems, VÄxjö, Sweden. 1st December 2004: A devotion to the cause of musical integrity has compelled Primare’s engineers and designers to seek ever more innovative ways to capture the spirit of the original recording. Their all-consuming passion has succeeded in further refining the Primare D30.2 CD player to create the CD31. The new player makes a definitive statement of Primare’s elite electronic and aesthetic design ethos. Utilising fully balanced low-noise topology throughout, and the finest discrete circuit components, the beautifully conceived CD31 will transcend expectations to deliver musical exhilaration, pure and simple.

For the CD31, Primare has selected precise transport, a very high quality 24 bit DAC for the 96kHz sampling mode, a matching high performance 24/96 filter, and an ultra-noise, high-speed output stage to preserve every musical nuance. Multiple isolated low noise power supplies are used to keep the musical signal free of electrical interference to exploit the full potential of the CD31’s balanced design.

Primare’s no-compromise design regimen is applied throughout the player, right down to the gold-plated analogue, digital and balanced outputs, and its sleek, elegant heavy-steel exterior, which matches the other 30 Series designs.

The result is pure music, unsullied by the usual limitations of the CD format, from a CD player that exemplifies in every way, Primare’s approach to sound engineering.
